Another Bank Holiday can only mean one thing... BBQ!
22nd May 2015
Yes, that’s right – another excuse for a BBQ and we’re still in May! The forecast in Darlington and surrounding areas seems very good all weekend, bar Sunday. Although there’s probably not enough time for home improvements before this Bank Holiday, there’s certainly time before the next (31st August).
Why not add a conservatory to your home? Or impress your guests with a new door or windows? Perhaps you’d like a Garden Room so that should the rain start you’ve got somewhere to go other than back to the house? Whatever you’re thinking, give us a call on 01325 720 000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
At Oaktree, we love a good BBQ so we’ve decided to make a quick list of tips for you…
- Slow & low is best
Cook everything on low after you’ve got the grill going. Marinade or season the night before if you can!
You may not have heard of this one before, but mixing milk with the beef in your burgers makes it taste much better; they won’t go as hard and they don’t shrink as much!
- On the topic of burgers, make your own!
Homemade burgers are just better. Add whatever flavour you like and get your mince from your butcher.
- Don’t forget (or ruin) the vegetables!
A BBQ is not all about meat (shocking, I know), vegetables taste great on a BBQ. Slice thin and grill without any seasoning – add the flavour once cooked.
Have a great weekend!
